A clearance inspection is to ensure all visible asbestos fragments have been removed, to verify if the area is safe for workers use. This must be obtained from an A class licensed asbestos assessor, someone who is independent from you and the licensed asbestos removalist.
The asbestos clearance certificate can only be issued when the satisfactory findings of the inspection area are free from visible asbestos contamination. The clearance includes a visual inspection and possibly air monitoring. If air monitoring is undertaken the airborne asbestos fibres must be below 0.01 fibres/ml.
Safety Systems will undertake the appropriate inspection required to verify that the asbestos has been removed correctly. No one can enter the Asbestos removal area until the inspection and certificate have been issued. We recommend any signage or barricades remain until the final clearance certificate has been issued.
