Site Safety Audits and Inspections
On-site safety inspections can provide you with useful information to assist when implementing and strengthening existing programs. Our consultants have extensive knowledge of legislative requirements and accepted industry practices. It is important to you to know that your workplace is safe.
We have a range of specific audit tools designed for different workplace types, which include construction, mining and manufacturing. We can provide a report that identifies any deficiencies in order of priority. This will enable you to focus your energy and direct your resources onto any business critical issues first.
Safety Systems can carry out risk assessments on in regard to a variety of activities and issues including plant, system of work, hazardous substance and buildings.We have systematic processes and specific assessment tools to measure and report the level of risk.
For example when conducting a risk assessment on machinery, we would consult AS 4024 Safeguarding of Machinery in conjunction with AS 4360 Risk Management as part of the risk assessment process.
Our consultants have extensive experience in incident investigations. We use systematic processes to carry out investigations into work place incidents to identify the root causes and contributing factors. We can then recommend appropriate controls to prevent re-occurrence of the incident in the future.

Dangerous Goods storage audits
We are able to conduct Dangerous Goods Storage Assessments and advise of compliance levels with the relevant legislation. For example, our review of dangerous goods storages would consider compliance with the Dangerous Goods Act, Dangerous Goods Regulations and applicable Australian Standards.
General Hazardous Substances assessments would usually be carried out by one of our experienced consultants.However, if scheduled or high risk hazardous substances are to be assessed, we recommend the use of our Occupational Hygienist, who may recommend personal exposure monitoring as part of the risk assessment.
Our detailed report will then advise on any risk that may exceed the exposure standards and make recommendations controls to reduce risk to acceptable levels.
If required, we can provide training hazardous substances and dangerous goods.
